My New Favorite Image Optimizer

I have been using the EWWW Image Optimizer plugin for a while now and I have to say that I am really happy with it. It has replaced all of my images, including background images, perfectly on my websites built with Elementor. What I love about this plugin is that it is very stable – I haven’t had any issues with it. With ShortPixel, I’ve experienced a few times where all the images were broken for hours, and times when random images don’t get optimized. None of this happens with EWWW.

EWWW is very fast – their CDN seems quicker than ShortPixel AI. I notice a difference in image loading times when I switched to EWWW. I love ShortPixel, it’s my 2nd favorite image optimizer plugin, but EWWW takes the crown as #1.

Another thing I like about the EWWW Image Optimizer plugin is that it includes SWIS, which is a great performance booster. If you don’t have WP Rocket, SWIS is a good alternative. WP Rocket is still better because they can automatically detect unused CSS, and they can delay JS. I would gladly move over to SWIS if they had those two features.
