• Dear sir/ madam,
Sorry for not knowing which version of wordpress I am using, as I cannot login ??

I have created a blog a year ago, or more… with my own domain. Up to May I was posting on it: https://www.sanneschouwenburg.com

I can’t seem to log in to the admin though. sanneschouwenburg.com/wp-admin gives me the 404 error. I have tried several things I found on this forum, but it keeps giving me the same error. How can I get to the login page?

    Thank you in advance!

    Sanne

  • Did you or your host install a security plugin that may have changed the location of the admin files?

Do you have FTP access to the site?

I set my account up with 1and1.es I believe, too long ago! I don’t really remember. I logged in to see and they have put a message up saying: Utiliza SFTP para proteger tus datos.
Is SFTP what you mean? Thank you!

Hi.I can’t log in to the admin site after I downloaded some anti virus software. Should I download WordPress again?

    Best wishes

I installed an ssl certificate, but after 3days, my site went down, but then, i would still access my wp dashboard, so i decided to uninstall the ssl cerficate, but i when i did so, this time i couldn’t access both the site and my wp dashboard.
    What can i do?

Your problems do not answer my question, please open your own question, thank you….

    Hello sanneschouwenburg,

The login page can be found here, I think you might be using “Rename wp-login.php” plugin, which changes the default wp-login page.

To make it more secure, you can have different word other than the present one. To do so, Go to Setting>>Permalinks>>Login url and enter the custom word of your choice.

    Happy Blogging ??
