I have enabled the “Let visitors subscribe to new posts and comments via email” and I have already registered on my website to Jetpack via my wordpress.com account. I can even add subscribers manually in my account on wordpress.com.

But the subscription form given on the link is not working. When email address is entered in it, the page becomes black and the circle starts rotating….

That’s all…! Nothing happens further. I waited for about 25 minutes, with no luck. My internet connection is good. Checked everything with no luck.

    Kindly help….

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hey @vsacad – the Jetpack connection for the site is currently not good which might be the reason why it is not working.

While your site is publicly accessible, we cannot access your site’s XML-RPC file: https://example.com/xmlrpc.php [replace example.com with your actual domain].

This file is used by Jetpack and other plugins and apps to connect to your site. It must return the following message: XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only and this is the reason your site is not accessible from WordPress.com dashboard.

You can see a working example here: https://wp.cloud/xmlrpc.php

If you want to know details about XML-RPC and how it helps Jetpack, you can check our detailed guide here:

Since your site doesn’t load for this page, I would recommend that you check the following:

    • Do you use any security plugins that may block access to this file? If so, could you try to disable them? You might also want to check your site’s .htaccess file for any rules that might be blocking access to the xmlrpc.php file.
    • Does your hosting provider block access to this file? If you don’t find any plugin that may block access to the file on your site, I would recommend that you get in touch with your host.

Once we are able to access your site’s xmlrpc.php file, please try to reconnect your site:

Let me know how it goes!

I tried deactivating plugins one by one and found that the plugin REALLY SIMPLE SSL is modifying the .htaccess file.

I deactivated the plugin and presto! everything is rolling now.

Thank you so much for the support and thanks again for the quick reply.
