My Index page shows only Titles

  • I’ve read through the forum and I can’t seem to figure out what is wrong with my, otherwise functional, site. The index page shows recents as only titles. I have read through the index.php file and compared it to other postings and I can’t see the error. This is not an excerpt. It’s a title-only situation. WordPress is new to me but I’ve done some coding in dreamweaver. Here’s the code from the index.php if that’s helpful.

    This seems too hard for a pretty solid program.

    I posted the url (https://www.dear-dr-wes.com/) and hadn’t hear back. What do you need from me to help me out on this index page problem. I also posted the code but the moderator pulled it asking me to post it to the pastebin. This is a pretty foreign world on WordPress. I just put it inside the /code marks and thought it would be fine. I don’t see any links to pastebin and when I clicked the one offered by the moderator it wasn’t clear to me how to get that hooked up to this.

    Your Recent Posts is coming something called “center widget”. That and/or your theme is why you are not seeing full posts. There may be a setting in the widget.

    Also you have a choice under the dashboard settings to use a static page or your latest posts.

    Keep in mind all help here is by volunteers. We come and go as our personnal schedule permits.

    Yes, I understand the volunteer situation. I just thought I’d failed to provide something and you were waiting. I don’t really understand your comment however. “Center widget” doesn’t appear anywhere in my dashboard. Only “Center Sidebar” which is where the Recent Posts Widget is located. The theme screen shots clearly shows full text and even pictures displayed so the theme isn’t supposed to work this way. I have few plugins installed (User Photo; and Meta Tag Manager).

    Re: Static page, I have latest posts displayed and Static Page only gives me one of my menu pages, not a full read on the posts.

    So here is the url. I understand how this works now. As far as I can tell there has to be something wrong in this code, because I’ve literally moved every widget everywhere, changed every setting and changed it back (that I can find) and even deactivated the plug ins. I’d delete the theme and reload it if I thought it would help. Please advise as time allows.
