My home page; it can't be edited..

  • Hi there,

    I am trying to install a new theme. The problem that I had with my old one was that I had difficulties managing my welcome page. When I first put new video’s on a page called -corporate- it displayed the newly uploaded movies also on this welcome page but somehow it stopped doing that (and I did not want it in the first place!)

    Now for the sake of experimentation I am uploading other themes. But this one seems to give me the same kind of troubles. In my dashboard – pages place I cannot edit this home page.

    Help!!

  • unless you set a static front page, the home page will be the posts page, usually genereated by index.php of your theme.

    Thx maybe i should just have this blog kind a opening page then. Because I don’t get it. What do they mean with ‘do not use a custom page’ and how do can I organize new pages as first, second, third…

    Now I put some blogs on put they appear unable to find if I preview the website, my first page is blank. But if I click on ‘posts’ form my control pane, I do see them in a ‘home’ page.

    Why should you leave it blanc, the blog page? and.. maybe you can check the site https://www.youtopic.nl what am I still doing wrong? Is this HOME page some kind a ghost page.. I can’t edit it. It;s just. There. So if I create a home page as the link suggest. I am stuck with two home pages!

    Because WordPress will automatically place your recent Posts on this page.
