• Theme update 4.0.2 made my header menu disappear. I was under the impression that you said the header menu would not be affected.

  • Hi there,

Can you please confirm that a menu is set in Appearance -> menu?
Also, kindly share the link of your site so that I can check.

Yes the menu is certainly set in Appearence -> menu.
And I am testing this on my local computer – as you are well aware I cannot risk doing this on the live site. In any case, I managed to get the menu appear – however, it appeared twice – on the right side at the top and below the logo as I specified in Customiser. For some reason that menu appeared in the Header widget which i did not ask for. However, all my CSS is haywire again (we were in correspondence about it). This is a real nightmare.

Another thing: my right sidebar has disappeared. In your guide you say:
“The sidebar has not disappeared but is not visible since there are no widgets added in the sidebar. To display a sidebar, simply go to Appearance > Widgets and add widgets to your desired sidebar.”

I am sorry but where is the desired sidebar? I cannot see it. I can see only Main. I just want the right sidebar.

Also, I find it totally confusing that you have different layouts Boxed. Content Boxed, Full width/Stretched etc. Is there an explanation of the difference between them? And how can each layout be chosen for individual pages? I did look into it but have wasted so much time trying to do that and failed.

Can you please reply to my question I asked earlier – I would appreciate it:

I finally found a way to add the right sidebar to a page – this is not the most elegant way of doing something like that.

Also, I find it totally confusing that you have different layouts Boxed. Content Boxed, Full width/Stretched etc. Your explanation about the differences between them is not exactly illuminating. In your Theme Editor, you only have two page templates listed, all the others are deprecated. I take it that you expect us to use the Customiser to add the different layouts to individual pages – can you confirm this?

I would be grateful if someone would reply to this question. The reason for this is that your guides are not very clear.
    Thank you.

You can’t set a separate layout for each individual page. However, you can set the separate layout option for blog entry page, single posts and simple pages.

I aamnot sure if you understood what I mean. My question is about your templates: there seems to be only two templates: default template and full width template (no sidebars), all the other templates are deprecated. What exactly is the default template? And how do we add the left or right sidebar to individual pages? Thank you.

I hope to ger a reply to my question.

The default template is the default layout of the theme which is a container width of 960px with a white background.

To set the sidebar, please go to Appearance -> Customize -> Page -> Layout and select options from ‘Sidebar Position’ to display the sidebar of your choice.
Read more about this on the following link
    https://docs.cyberchimps.com/responsive/#page

Please note that this will set the sidebar to all of your pages. If you wish to have no sidebar on a particular page, you can choose a page template for that particular page as ‘fullwidth page (no sidebar)’.

If you say that the default template is 960px in width, what exactly is the full width template with no sidebars?
