My footer background color changed

  • I’ve got the following in my ccs and footer background color was #005580`footer#footer {
    background: #005580;
    }`
    I did upload a functions.php file and used the snippet for a fourth footer. I believe that is what changed the color of the background.

  • The snippet makes no changes whatsoever to the styling. That’s all done in the stylesheet.

    You are loading a syle.css — in the my-child-theme folder — but it is empty apart from an import statement.
