My feed doesn’t display all my posts! :-(

Could someone please help me out?! Please don’t ignore me ??

I dont follow you, syndication shows the latest 10 posts thats what its meant do?

If you went into settings and changed the option to 5, it would be 5 most recent posts in the feed?

Where is the problem? Are you saying you want 10 posts in the feed but only latest 10 from post 11 to 1000? If so, that is not possible, unless you start messing around with creative separate categories and manage the feed yourself or something.

No, s/he is saying that s/he changed the number from “10” to “1000”, as in, s/he wants to display “1000” items in the feed, instead of “10”.

I am actually having this same problem. The number in the box was set to “50” and I changed it to “300”, but my feeds are still capping out at fifty. Any ideas?

The feed results are stored in your browser cache.

So delete your browser cache and try again and you’ll see whatever number of items you’ve set in the feed.

I have a very similar problem, but causing the opposite problem. Under settings>reading>”Syndication feeds show the most recent” I have put “2” in the box. But when I later went to subscribe to my own feed to test it, I was shown 26! Something is causing WordPress 2.5 to ignore whatever number is set there, or else I don’t understand something. Is there a way to manually change it in the code?

I am having the same problem, but for me it is just the category feeds that are not respecting the change. I have it set to the past “500” posts, and the normal feed shows every post, whereas the category feed only shows the most recent 100-150. You can see the behavior here:

Edit, it appears to only be for the pretty url feed, because the ID based one works correctly.
