my featured image not visible

  • i am using json api to get the recent posts from my blog to my website ..
    When i cropped the featured image and then published the featured image is missing in the website.. without cropping the image is visble in the website

    add_theme_support( 'post-thumbnails' );

    I have this line of code in my functions.php
