my featured image is too small

Hello all,

So I can’t seem to find an answer for this. My featured image doesn’t fill the container. it’s too small and I can’t figure out why or find a solution. I’m just using this post as an example. I know some images I use are just too short. Others are the l make the length of the container and they’re still not log enough. The post content exceeds the featured image’s length. Can anyone help me fix this? Thank you in advance!
