So I’m in the process of integrating WordPress into a site I’m doing (N00b here, 1st shot), but no matter what I do, I cannot seem to get the menu to diplay correctly in IE 8. Looks ok in FF, but IE insists on making it vertical and throwing the look off.

Here is the offending page https://www.atlrfg.com/blog

It should look like this https://www.atlrfg.com:7568 (deve site)

I’ve looked around and can’t find anything on this, can anyone assist?

There is something wrong in the stye sheet at #A. Line height moves all to a horizontal line.

I thought the same thing, but both pages use the same style sheet, yet it comes out fine outside of the WordPress template.

They even use the exact same code (I copied at pasted into the Theme index.php), it’s baffling me.

All I know is if I turn the line height off the entries move to horizontal. Your browser should have some tools where you can look at things like this to help sort it out.

    Awesome,

1, I totally wasn’t aware of the Developer Tools in Explorer (I’m self taught so I missed that)

2, The menu is working now, it seems I just need to continue messing around with the style sheet to get it to align right.

The actual problem with the menu was the “block” option for display, it displays corrected outside of WordPress but not within, that is strange.

I guess I need to tweak the stylesheet to work specifically with WordPress documents as they are the only ones that bomb out.

Thanks for putting me in the right direction

Now if I can get the page centered and the drop down function working I’ll be good.

I wonder though, is there special css that I use for WordPress templates? It doesn’t seem to be the style sheet or browser but when I used the style sheet in a WordPress Template it goes out of whack, what’s that about? Anyone know?

The page looks centered on IE8. Please explain.

Really? Mine shows everything to the left in IE 8 while on FF & Chrome it’s centered. Strange…I’m going to check from other PC’s and see if it’s just my machine.

Yeah, looks like it’s a bit out of whack with a space at the top of the page and the page being oriented to the left side of the page in IE 6, 7, & 8 from a couple of computers, although the main page at https://www.atlrfg.com:7568 looks fine and uses the same code and style sheet (except the blog is WordPress and the menu tweak I did)…theres a lot off CSS to look through to find the problem, but I’m guessing it’s there somewhere.

In IE 7 & 8 it looks centered to me. In IE7 the white space shows at the top. No IE6 here.

In FF it looks centered, no white space. If Safari, it is centered with the white space.

    Good luck!
