    Website: The OMNI FIT website

    In the back-end of WP, I can’t edit the My Courses page. I’d like to edit it because for some reason, the registration portion does not show up so people can’t register if they don’t already have a login.
    My Courses page currently

    I tried to just create a new page with the login and registration shortcodes on it but if a person is already logged in (even if they’re not registered for a course), neither of the shortcodes appear (blank page). I understand this is how these shortcodes are designed, but again, it does not give people who are not registered for a course the ability to actually register if they have otherwise subscribed to the site (for example if they’re logged in because they already took one course but want to register for another OR if they’re logged in because they haven’t taken any courses but subscribed to the site via a newsletter or something).

    When I try to edit the My Courses page, I get this: After clicking 'edit' on My Courses page

    If someone could help me either fix the My Courses page or tell me how to get the login & registration forms on a different page and use it instead, I’d appreciate it…Everything else seems to be working fine.

    I don’t know why the thumbnails aren’t showing above, but if you right click and open in a new tab, the images should show fine.

    @nikkisart,

    1) It looks like you probably have Open Registartion disabled, which causes the reg form to not display as per your first screenshot.

    To enable this, head to LifterLMS -> Settings -> Accounts and scroll to the “Open Registration Fields” area. Check the box to enable Open Registration.

    2) Registration on the registration page doesn’t enroll users into a course / membership! To join a course or memebership a user (with an account) must move through the enrollment steps by purchasing access via an access plan.

    They may also gain access through vouchers redeemed via the Student Dashboard.

    I wanted to note this second point because an existing user (even if they didn’t register via LifterLMS) can join a course via enrollment.

    And if a user enrolls via Open Registration they won’t have access to any courses / membership content but they will have access to an empty dashboard.

    Hope that helps and let me know if you have any follow up questions!

    Thanks…that takes care of my question. I understand and the Student Dashboard looks good from the front end now. I’m curious, is it intended that the page is not able to be designed. I noticed that the page in the demo site has the login and registration form positioned side by side, and I’d like that as well but when I try to edit the page, I get the second screenshot attached above. Any feedback on that?

    @nikkisart,

    The lack of customization is intentional, not so much in order to make your lives difficult, but in order to allow us to focus our efforts. We have been moving towards removing visual customization options out of LifterLMS in order to have a smaller codebase. We want to urge theme developers and people who are not happy with our basic theme and customization options to extend the codebase in order to give greater customization and style options. This allows us to focus on building LMS functionanlity and designers to focus on design. Theres a few LifterLMS specific themes out there (Course Lady and Ventura are my favorites).

    We’re a small team. I do most of the development and most of the support. We have to choose where to focus our efforts. I’m sorry if you feel limited by the amount of customization you can do. If you think I should focus my efforts somewhere they’re not, submit a feature request at https://lifterlms.com/contact.

    Note: I tend to ignore feature requests posted in the forums (please read the sticky).

    The layout on our demo is an option available through our LaunchPad theme. We have a bunch of styling options for various pieces of LifterLMS in that theme
