  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    – increasing the memory available to PHP?

spoke to my webhost and they said that “it’s not possible to increase the Webspace with your current Package but you can upgrade the Package to the next one available”

surely webspace doesnt have anything to do with my CATEGORIES disappearing right ?!

what’s the Twenty Ten theme ?!

It’s the default theme that cane with WordPress 3.0

surely webspace doesnt have anything to do with my CATEGORIES disappearing right ?!

I suggested increasing the memory available to PHP – not your hosting space. Memory & space are not directly connected.
