My Calendar event details not showing

I have installed My Calendar and have been able to add new events. However the calendar only shows the title and no further iformation about the event. It shows the title as a link but when you click on it nothing happens so I can see no further info about the event. I have added further information about the event in the ‘event discription’ box and entered the date/time etc. I have also tried adding a link to a more detailed ‘post’ about the event in the ‘event link’ box. None of this is working. How can I show further details about the event? I am a newbie to wordpress so would appreciate some simplified advice please. Thanks
