My blog URL redirects to a particular post and not the main URL???

Update: I tried editing the permalink to see if that had anything to do with it, and no change. For whatever reason, my blog main URL reconciles to this post.

Help please.

Oops, and forgot to add the new permalink URL is
https://shinyadornments.com/simplyshiny/2011/01/etsy-were-a-grocery-store/

I’ve seen many many people have problems with that redirection plugin. Disable it and test.

I’ve helped a few people recently who had their blog stuck redirecting to deleted posts even…..

Weird as it worked fine for ages. Not sure what changed.

On a separate note, what file can I manually edit to put permanent redirects in place? As I’ve disabled the Plugin that held that info.

redirects for what? Just changing permlink structure?

WordPress handles redirects if you change your structure. You can visit a post at your old permalink structure, and it will go to the post with the new permalink structure…..

I had a couple permanent redirects from a site that I’ve since deleted to this new blog that I’d like to re-add. I know I’ve read about how to do that somewhere, but am kind of a technical noob.

ah, you can do that in a .htaccess file, but I’m not so strong at that, but googling .htaccess redirects should help you out…..
