My blog takes too long to save

  • All of a sudden my blog takes forever to save. At first I thought it might be my server, but everything else loads quickly. My blog was just redesigned, and was modified off of a 1.5 theme. Could this be the problem and any ideas how to go about correcting it? Thanks.

  • Turn off all your plugins and the ping function, if enabled.

    Then see if it clears the problem. For some odd reason maybe one of the plugins is in conflict with the new design.

    I deactivated all of the plugins. That didn’t help. However, this did, I had a long list of ping sites listed. When I deleted all but pingomatic, it seemed to solve the problem. What do you think?

    That would be it, yes. Pinging multiple sites can really slow things down.
