I recently set up a wordpress blog – Thiek.In. And I’ve submitted it to Google, have submitted a sitemap to Google’s webmaster tools, have nicely set up and configured All In One SEO plugin, and have changed the privacy settings to “visible to search engines..”. It’s been quite a while now since I did all those things.

But it’s still not showing any results from my blog, not even when I do an advanced search or a site search. [results] Is there some setting that I need to change? Or do I just have to wait. Please help.

  • You can’t hurry Google
No, you just have to wait
She said SEO don’t come easy
It’s a game of give and take

If you search your site name, it should always come up on top (since it’s your url). Anything else requires optimizing each page on the keywords you want to rank on.

You can use social bookmarking like submitting to digg, mixx, stumbleupon and your site will index soon.

It’s showing up just fine now. I guess it’s just a matter of time. And yes, submitting to digg, mixx, etc does help. Thanks techooze.

    Hey jothiek,

Congrats that you site is showing. That happened to my blog too a few weeks ago, because i changed the permalink, my site was completely gone from google. By fixing the error pages and creating backlinks, it really helps to be indexed again. I like your blog layout, it’s nice clean:)
