MY BLOG IS NOT UPDATED CORRECTLY. IT APPEARS DIFFERENT AT VARIATIONS OF MY URL.

    I am having trouble with content updating on my blog and would appreciate any input.

    I recently installed wordpress with yahoo hosting (the simple install) I chose to make my homepage the blog homepage.

    https://www.urbanreminisce.com

    That worked fine, although the installation directory is https://urbanreminisce.com/weblog

    The problem I’m having is when I update my blog with content each url appears different in my browser. I don’t mean the actual posts, I mean the entire site including the sidebar.

    https://www.urbanreminisce.com https://urbanreminisce.com and https://urbanreminisce.com/weblog all display different content. Why is that?

    Is my actual blog at https://www.urbanreminisce.com as this is the URL I have given to search engines and would like to update correctly. Can anybody help me out?

    I am using a macbook switching between Firefox and safari. I dread to think what the site looks like in IE ??

    By the way, I’m not sure on which version of wordpress I’m using. It’s whatever installs with yahoo hosting.

  • I just looked at the three pages you posted in Mac Firefox and Safari, and they display exactly the same way. I don’t see any differences at all.

    Maybe you need to reload the page to get the most recent version?

    Um.. that’s strange because I looked again after being offline 4 hours and the URL’s are not the same. Maybe they do need time to update but I just wanted to know if there is a bug or something? The differences are mainly in the sidebar; I use widgets. When I change the order e.t.c in the admin panel they appear different on the variable URL’s. Are they supposed to do this?

    https://urbanreminisce.com/weblog updates to the setting I make in the admin panel immediately. While https://www.urbanreminisce.com does not update. Should I reinstall wordpress to a directory instead of trying to use the homepage?
