• I was updating my About Me page, I published it, then went to view my site and everything was gone. The Theme had changed back to the original wordpress theme and all of my posts were gone. I changed back to the theme I originally had, but not even the changes that I have made to that theme were still intact. Basically, all the work I had put in tweaking the theme were lost and posts no where to be found. I’m a little bit puzzled as to what has happened to my blog.

    Please help?

it looks like you may have set a static page?

is it set to a real page?

or have you deleted the “hello world” post? if so, you need to make at least one post to show up in front end

I have deleted the “hello world” post and started working on the blog from scratch, but then I figured that maybe there is some way that I can restore everything and not have to spend hours tweaking the template and reposting my posts (fortunately, I write posts in a word document before actually posting). So here I am.

When I published the About page, the whole website was gone. The theme was reverted back to the basic WordPress one and the changes I have made to the theme you are currently seeing on the page was all gone too. I don’t have a static page set.

I’m not quite sure what you mean by

    ?

do you still see the posts you made in the dashboard?

Nope, there were no posts in the dashboard. I’m starting to upload them again now, so if you look at the site you will see them coming up, but after I published the About Page, nothing but the About page was there. All the previous WordPress changes I had made were gone as well such as I had changed my e-mail address on wordpress and I had changed how many posts will show on each page etc. Everything was reset.
