my blog is gone!!!!

  • using montezuma, i went into Appearance > editor > breadcrumbs to try and edit something. i think i did something wrong with the code, and now i cant get back in to fix it. whenever i try to pull up my blog or the admin page, it says “the website cannot display this page.”

    Please help!!!!! i have no idea how to fix this!!

  • Download a fresh copy of the theme ( the same version you are currently using ), then login to your webhost via cpanel or ftp, navigate to where your theme is located, then replace that file ( the breadcrumbs one ).

    Hopefully you were able to recover. If you haven’t, let me know and I can post a link on how to recover from a bad theme edit/install.

    In the future, you should not need to use the editor when making changes to the theme. Go into the Appearance > Montezuma Options, and look at either the CSS settings or the Main/Sub-templates in order to change what you need. If you don’t think what you want to change is available, post here or on the Montezuma forum
