• Hi all! Before putting my query here I did search for the solution but I was unable to find one.
Few days back I moved my blog from free wordpressDOTcom to selfhosted ( bluehost ) blog. Everything was working perfect. Today ,after working for an hour , it suddenly stopped working. The url is https://windowsphonewiki.com/
    and the error is :
The requested URL / was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Few changes I did :
Yesterday I was trying to configure FTP on filezilla but I was failed to do that , so left it without configuring.
Today , I used a Jetpack plugin to add favicon ( which is on my self hosted blog from the day I started) , though the favicon was not showing up on my blog , it was only showing in the admin dashboard.
Secondly , I configured a email account with this domain on bluehost and added that to my gmail account.
After doing all these I tried to check my blog It throws an error Not Found.
    I never used FTP ( I can’t configure it )
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

404 indicates failure to communicate with the server.
    – it could be configuration issue
    – it could be memory issue
    – it could be permalinks issue, try reviewing this: How to fix 404 error when using Pretty Permalinks? – it could be optimization issue
    – it could be a conflict with plugin: try resetting the plugin folder
    – it could be a conflict with theme: try switching to the default theme for a moment via FTP and see if that resolves the issue.
    – check for .htaccess file presence and check if the default wordpress mod-rewrite code is there or not. There are times when .htaccess file is not writeable or gotten deleted
    – Check the server error log for your hosting account for any specific error message. Ask your webhost for assistance to locate them.

How should I reset Plugin if I can’t able to access my dashboard.?
https://windowsphonewiki.com/wp-admin : It also throws the same error NOT FOUND.
Talking about FTP , I never used it and when I tried configuring after downloading Filezilla , I was failed to do so.
Sent an email to bluehost and waiting for response.

    @marie9735,
as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic. That way you stand a good chance of getting full attention to your specific issue. Despite any similarity in symptoms, your issue is likely to be completely different because of possible differences in physical servers, accounts, hosts, plugins, theme, configurations, etc. Thus one problem, on one setup is not indicative of the functionality and reliability of an application as a whole.

We have no way of know it one way or the other.

You need to contact and discuss this directly with bluehost.
