My Blog Has “CRASHED” – Can Anyone help Me Fix It?
-
Hi all… I was wondering if someone on this forum might care to take a look at my blog: https://www.homeloangripes.com. I hadn’t added any new posts since May 29th this year (on this particular blog) due to personal circumstances.
However, I logged into the back-end a week or so ago and added a script called “Profit Peelers” to the footer of my blog. This created a “PeelAway” type effect at the top-right hand corner of my blog.
It worked just fine.
Yesterday, since my blog has a Google Page Rank of 3, I decided to send a link from it to a web site of mine. I logged in to create the hyperlink from one of my home page posts. Upon creating it I then clicked on “save” and for some reason, instead of bringing up the site view with the ‘edit” link visible, it took me to the “front-end” of my site and I had to log in again!
That’s when I began to see a whole bunch of code that shouldn’t be there – in my Dashboard Control Panel….and now it appears in the browser BEFORE and after the page has finished loading!
Basically, it was a bunch of ‘warning” / “error” notices, telling me that my site had “crashed” and that I should repair it.
I immediately removed the “ProfitPeeler” script, saved the site, then had another look… but this time (although the ProfitPeeler device had been removed) the warnings and error notices started appearing ABOVE the blog header!
It is completely screwed for some reason. May be it never was anything to do with the ProfitPeeler script – I just don’t know.
I would be very grateful if someone could look at the site for me and see if they can work out what has gone wrong.
The site name is: https://www.homeloangripes.com
I am happy to disclose my FTP details, back-end log-in details etc… to anyone genuinely interested in helping me solve this little mystery.
Simply email me direct on: [email protected]
Kind Regards,
Bruce Smeaton (smeatz)
