• Hello. I’m trying to migrate from Wix to WordPress and I realise how very *manual* the whole thing is. I’m slowly getting a grip on everything, but I can’t seem to solve this one thing that’s eating my head.
My wix site is still active at thebucketroll.com and you can see that if I click on an article, it opens up in it’s own page. In WordPress, when I do the same, the article opens in the homepage itself. I wanted to have a new page where every article opens in a two column layout, but I can’t figure out how to do it. I have searched for a solution everywhere but I can’t find anything.

I’m using a theme called Mad Magazine and I don’t know if the problem is in the theme itself. Any help would be appreciated. I’m working on this site thebucketroll.dxpsites.net

I don’t understand what you mean. If I click on an article in your old site, it shows that article in the same page (same browser window), replacing the home page. That’s the same as what the new site is doing, and is standard for web pages.
Your new home page has a problem, though. It says “Nothing found”, although it shows an image and link for an article before that. (and the image is way too large file size; I could see it appearing top to bottom on my slow connection)

What does this mean? You want the single post pages to have a sidebar? or the content itself is in two columns?

If I were you, I wouldn’t worry about how it looks at first. Just move the content, and then you have more to look at as you try out different themes.

    Hello @rishabhbh

Did you set this up in through theme or code it in? Or is that just something you’d like it to do? If there isn’t an option within the theme to do this where you don’t have to do any coding you may want to out to the theme authors.

@joyously what I mean is, my articles used to have their own separate pages, but the new website opens articles in the home page itself. I’m not talking about separate windows.

By two-column layout I mean a layout like this page; the main content is on the left side, while things like topics, tags and other related stuff are on the right.

I’m not too concerned about the layout since I’m sure I can design it myself once I solve the actual problem.

@yobani it’s a theme called Mad Magazine, and I can’t contact support unless I buy it. I can’t really code, and if I don’t find a way around this, I might just have to use drag-and-drop plugins like Elementor. I have no problems trying stuff out, but I really like this theme and hoping for a solution.
