Hey guys, I’ve been struggling with this issue for some time:
I want my customers to be able to review products they purchase simply by heading to their account page, order history, then be able to click on the product link which will take them to the product page where they can place reviews. The problem is some products this is available but some not. I’ve made sure the settings in both woocommerce/settings/products/reviews and in products/advanced are set up right but still some products don’t appear as a click-able link which typically shows in blue after hovering over it or clicking it. If anyone can assist I’d be eternally grateful! Thank you!

    Hi, @losvaposvape!

By “some products this is available but some not,” are you seeing a pattern in the products that cannot be clicked? For instance, are these variable products? Or were they created with a particular plugin?

While we wait for more information from you, can you also try refreshing your site’s permalinks? You can do that by heading to WP Admin > Settings > Permalinks. You don’t need to make any changes. You simply need to press the “Save Changes” button.

Hi Cara, thanks for replying. I’ve refreshed permalinks and didn’t solve it. Yes the products are variable, there is no pattern that I can make out however today I thought perhaps it could be related to out of stock items as we sell fast trending products and upon testing this theory out, the product can now be clicked! Now I’m trying to figure out how I can set it up where customers can review out of stock items. There’s no such setting in woocommerce settings under products tab. At least now I know what’s causing the issue!

The products go in and out of stock so I need them to be able to receive reviews regardless. Thanks for your help

I see what you mean now! I just tested this on my site, and I do see that out-of-stock products become unclickable from the My Account page.

I’m not entirely sure how to change that behavior yet, but considering the links should still work, I’m thinking of a workaround.

What’s your process right now for requesting reviews from customers? For instance, are you sending emails asking customers to go to their My Account page to review their purchases?

Hi Cara, thanks again, yes I’m sending emails and got this feedback. I’ve also been looking for a workaround but seems not possible at this time. I’m resolve this now. Have a great day!

    Hi @losvaposvape!

Thanks for clarifying that. The reason I asked about your process for requesting reviews was that, if you were sending emails (as you’ve confirmed you’re doing), you can make it so that the emails contain links to the products the customer has purchased. So, instead of heading to My Account and finding the product links to be unclickable, they’ll just need to click on the product links from the email.

If that’s something you wish to try, you can check out plugins like AutomateWoo or Follow-Ups. Those are both from the WooCommerce.com marketplace, so you’ll have 30 days to try them out to see if they work for you. If not, you can get a refund for them.

Another option I see from www.remarpro.com that might work for you is Customer Reviews for WooCommerce.
