My 2007 WP blog, and a couple questions

Hey there all
Last year I used My ownFlash made blog. This week Ive been building a new one in WP (after noting other bloggers are severly crap for heavy customization!). After hacking up a ‘pool’ theme Im fairly happy with WP but im not 100% finished.

THIS is where Im at. almost there on FireFox and IE. I do have a couple questions though.

1) Links within Posts – How do I customise the read-more link so it says something different? and how can i change the colour of it? as well as the NEXT PAGE link that appears when I have more posts. These 2 don’t seem to take my link colour as the title of the post does

2) How Can I move the Comments link to under and right of the post like in the classic theme, instead of top right like now. AND make it white as in 1)

3) A simple footer – I just want to add a link and copy right at the bottom of the whole page. something like

<a href="#">link</a><br> Copy Right

I dont know where to put the code so it is right at the bottom of the page. I assumed footer.php but it put it near the side bar.
