    I am using iThemes Security (version 8.1.5) on two pages. On one page, I am not able to disable Vulnerabilities Message. The “Mute” button is not visible, the button is hidden. If I click, I get a http 401 error: “Encountered error updating issue: Error: HTTP error! status: 401

    I don’t understand why it works on one page and not on the other.

    Hi @kalle1989,

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    Kindly note that when the REST API is set to “Restricted”, this will lead to an unauthorized error when attempting to click the vulnerability email.

    The REST API can be enabled by navigating to WordPress Dashboard ? Security ? Settings ? Advanced ? WordPress tweaks. Then set the REST API from “Restricted” to “Default”.

    Could you please try the following to see if helps to resolve the issue?

    • Log in to the site in a private window to see if the issue occurs again. If not, clear the regular browser cookies
    •  Clear cache

    Hi Shalom,
    sorry for my late reply due to the Easter vacations.
    I have deactivated as you wrote all other plugins on my site, but I still get the same error!

    I’m sorry to hear the issue continues to occur.

    Was this the same after clearing the browser cache/cookies? Please let me know.

    Could you please also check with your hosting provider if the IP?67.227.194.4?is blocked? If so, could they please unblock the IP?
