• I had a fellow build a website for me but I can’t login without having to reset my password. Every time.

I try to use the most recent password and sends me to a screen that offers to reset my password. I get the email (with the generated password) and I can get in, make some edits. But I can’t reuse that password the next day, nor can I reset the password so that it “sticks”

Has anyone had this trouble? Is there some privacy setting I’ve messed up (or he has). Help?

The website is https://www.marymcadams.com (musician friend). Would really appreciate any help.

  • Hi, I have the same problem with having to reset my password every time I log in! It is soooo frustrating. My IT guy is frustrated too. How can there be so many complaints about this and yet I can’t find one reply that fixes the problem. Do the WordPress techs even know how to fix it…or do they even care. In this day and age surely we are not asking for much!! I too would love some help. Sorry I didn’t help you lowlights. But I enjoyed venting a little. Ta

WordPress forum helpers: If you type “password every login” into the search box above, you’ll get a page of results of others with the same problem. Please help us.

ok. in the general settings the WordPress address (URL) needs to have not https:// … it has to be https:// also you can try putting the www in front of the address and it will force it to destroy a rogue cookie if their is one
