Must be after the record for most uninstalls in a single month, eh?

Unfortunately, you seem to have grossly overestimated the value of being able to see Google Analytics data in the WordPress dashboard, instead of opening a second browser tab and seeing it in Google Analytics dashboard instead.
GADWP (and other similar plugins) do not provide essential functionality for any site. They’re simply… handy.
$60 isn’t a lot for a genuinely (and functionally) useful plugin, but since this had previously been free, I had installed it on all my clients sites.
So, anyone who has lots of client sites, would now have to splash out hundreds of $’s… thousands of $’s for some, for a plugin that’s no more than ‘handy’. (You didn’t think everyone would just pass the cost on to their client’s and give you their money, did you???)
This is one of the worst moves I’ve ever seen a plugin developer do.
If you want people to buy into a premium version, you pack loads of extra features into it and show everyone how much more they get with the pro version.
You don’t, move 99% of the features from the free version into the paid version and destroy all the good will you’ve established with 1 million+ users, in one killer update.
I’m genuinely gobsmacked by this move. ????
I’m annoyed that I’ll now have to spend my weekend uninstalling this from 70+ websites and installing a replacement.
It might also be worth noting that, if I had to pay for an analytics plugin… the way this update has been handled has ensured that I’d pay for any other plugin to do the job than this one.
Staggeringly bad judgment Exact Metrics. ??
