Scroll to the bottom of the attached page, there are some web stories to choose from.

When clicking them in very random intervals the background music sometimes starts playing, sometimes not.

Sometimes the voice is loud, then quiet, then loud again, same with the music. Changing on slide advancement but also in between.

That seems very arbitrary and does not add to a great user experience.
At first I thought it was just in the preview windows but also shows in normal web story view.

Hi there @emilrueh, we’ll be happy to check on this. I am not noticing any volume/sound differences when between pages of a story. What is the Story URL of which you notice the volume differences within the story?

When I check different stories, the sound appears to differentiate as if they are different audio files.

Have you tried to rule out the theme or page builder plugin as an issue? Please let us know if you experience the same issue after temporarily switching to a default (using Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin).

All of the 110 web stories we have created have this issue and we have checked and changing the template does not change this. There are two audio files that are how web stories are designed for the audio, one for voice overs and one as background music.

Please only refer to the stories using the female voice as we used different files in older publications.

Please can you get Pascal @swissspidy to look into this for us as we need clarity.

@emilrueh Perhaps you want to uninstall this plugin and try something else? Stop @ pinging specific people. It’s becoming abusive.

    *Drinks coffee, so good*

Looking at your replies, you are asking unpaid volunteers for marquee level support. You keep asking for a specific volunteer to support you. That’s not appropriate.

You are not a customer. You can have a thousand websites and you would still be supported by volunteers here so please cut that out now.

If that does not work for you then uninstall the plugin and move on. That’s your option.

I will stop asking the developers of mega company google then to specifically help me with errors from a software developed by themselves that is the tool running more than a hundred posts on my website? Is that not what the forum is supposed to be utilized for?

Sry, not planning to be ‘abusive’ rather trying to get support from support for things I need to be supported with. Hope you can understand Jan.
Always got great replies from google about the listed problems.

See, that is the wrong reply and the rest of that paragraph is just wasted space. You chose to ignore this part.

There are no “mega company google” here and if that is going to be your attitude then do not be surprised when you don’t get support here.

Again, stop you behavior of asking for specific unpaid volunteers to help you, stop abusing the @ notification on these forums. If that continues then you may lose access to these forums.

Wow Jan, that is such an awful answer and are you the person that is representing Google in this support forum. You do know the person that your telling Emil not to use the @ is the developer of the plugin. How is that abusive please explain?

You do realize that there is no premium support for google web stories, therefore this is the only option. The fact that google a trillion dollar company can not pay for support agents is shocking to me.

The fact that you told Emil to delete all 110 web stories and find another plugin is absolutely disgracefully and I will be speaking with pascal and john john mueller about this as I am sure that google does not want this type of support as it is very damaging to Google.

OK, this topic is being closed to new replies and both of your accounts are now flagged for moderation. There is too much refusal to understand and the topics are all derailed.

You tagged this topic with “bad customer service” when it has been explained to you that there are no customers here. You are not “customers” on this site and you never have been.

At best you are opensource collaborators assisting the developers with the code. That you feel somehow entitled to “customer service” is wrong.

I have nothing to do with this plugin. I’m a forum moderator for this site and your abuse was reported to the moderators. When you were informed about that instead of adjusting your behavior, you chose to double down.

That’s wrong of you and your topics for this plugin are closed and may be archived.
