Mushblue Theme Edit

  • How is everyone doing? New to WordPress, and new to all of this actually.

    I have WP 2.3 up and running, and have a question about the Mushblue 1.0 theme. Can anybody help me with a quick fix…or edit?

    On the header banner, they have text on there that displays the Site Name. Clicking on that site name will link you back to the main page. I got rid of that text because it interfered with my banner. So I want to include some way that I can just click on the banner art and have it link back to the main page.

    Can anybody assist?

    You did a bad thing removing the Title of your website, now, search engines would have no clue what to do !

    The ideal solution is to code your stylesheet so that the image is placed on top of the text, that way, search engines don’t miss a thing – and you visitors look upon the nice header image.

    It is called Image Replacement. You can check my site, I have done that successfully. If you load with page with Images turned off, you see the normal text based logo.

    Here are some nice techniques on how to do this. It is actually a pretty long technique, you might as well hire someone to do it for you if it look all that hard.

    I didn’t actually remove the Title, but the way that theme was working, it would just display the title of the site OVER the actual header image. All I did was remove the Title text over the image. The Title text was also used to get back to the main page. That’s why I want find a way to use the header banner image as a link back to the main page.

    All the links that have been popping up in Search are for editing the default Kubrick theme. That edit doesn’t apply to my theme.

    As I mentioned earlier, this is a rather advanced technique (image replacement) and the Tutorial I gave you shows you how to do that.

    I was just wondering why doesn’t anyone atleast post their website addresses so that the ones trying to help atleast gets a hang of things. man !

    I read through your tutorial, and like you said, it is a long process. Just wanted to see if anyone else had a solution. I saw all the other fixes, and most of them require just an edit of 1 to a couple of lines of code. I’m sure it’s just something small that I’m overlooking.
