Multiuser Site without payment options

  • I would like to build an Etsy-like site for multiple users however without payment options as first. All buyers will only be able to select a product, sizes and amount and instead of a checkout, I need the system to place an order for either a local pick up or drop off. All payments need to be made in person. Should I still use MarketPress or is there a better solution. I will eventually add another membership with the option to sell product online. I appreciate your help.

  • Hi You can use Woo-commerce plugin for wordpress.
    You can add any payment option you want Like COD , Wire Transfer or Check etc…

    But would I build it as a MarketPress site at first if I DO NOT need to sell the products online? (it would be still multiuser shops – only for pickup and drop off).

    My goal is to build a multi user e-shop site similar to Etsy. I will have 2 different memberships.

    Phase one would be to provide a membership for people that can promote their products online, however, they are products that CAN’T be SOLD ONLINE (only advertised). These products can be sold only localy and people have to meet face-to-face and pay cash.

    I will need to add a component where people can place orders with a pickup or delivery option. That will calculate their cost but the payment wont be processed online. They will just bring cash with them and pay the seller in person. That is how I want to start it. (almost like craigslist)

    I will want to add a standard membership eventually (not now) that will be Etsy-like where people can sell products online and accept payments.

    Does that make sense?
