• Hello,
I’m trying to get a multi-site going and I cant find enough on how wordpress uses it. We want to create a network of multi-sites for our community.

Is it natively possible to have a multi-site on multi-domains(not sub) that when a user registers, they can log into any of those domains?

I’m not sure if this answers your question or not, but:

You can set up multisite for subdomains, then map other domains to those sites. So if your network is set up on networkdomain.com, a new site could be created, subsite1.networkdomain.com, then another domain mapped to it, so that the site was accessible (for logins, editing, everything) at otherdomain.com. (If you remove the mapping, the site reverts back to the subdomain.)

Users could be added so that they could log into ANY of the subdomain sites, but once you apply domain mapping, the network treats them like any single site, so users would have to be added as users to each specific otherdomain.com site to be able to log into it.

I’m pretty sure that there are some plugins that will add a new user to ALL the sites in the network, so that this could be accomplished.

    Did I understand your question/situation?
