• I need some help figuring out the structure to a problem with a multisite install funneling specific languages to one blog.

The best way to explain is I have the below languages
    Canadian – English (/ca-en/)
    Canadian – French (/ca-fr/)
    United States – English (/us-en/)
    United States – Spanish (/us-es/)
    United Kingdom – English (/uk-en/)

Each language site is housed under one WordPress install running as a multisite. Ideally to keep SEO clean and the dashboard easy for the user, a solution with the below blog structure would be ideal under the same multisite setup so that a search bar can search both the sites and the blogs.

    Blog – English
    Blog – French
    Blog – Spanish

This way there are no duplicate posts under the English Blogs and a post only needs to be made once instead of multiple times to accommodate all 3 English languages.

The trouble point is the blog uses the same header and footer design as the main sites.

So lets say I am on the Canadian English site, I click to view the English blog, but if I try to use the top navigation again to go back to a specific page on the Canadian site, I’m not sure if my below solution is the best approach.

I thought of the idea of using cookies and have the URL paths in the top and footer navigation be dynamic depending on the cookies value. Example below…
    yoursite.com/*cookie value*/contact-us

If you came from the /ca-en/ site your cookie value would be *ca-en* which would make the URL in the top navigation.
    yoursite.com/ca-en/contact-us

I’m not sure if there is a better route I could use.

I apologize in advance for the long post.
