• Hello,

I am managing a new multisite WP installation for a new client and am having issues figuring this one out. There are 2 main sites that are on this multisite install (https://chimneysplusgutters.com and https://guttersolutionsnc.com). Note that though they use different domains they are both on chimneyplusgutters.com/ domain. I am using a domain mapping plugin to incorporate the other domain into it.

For this issue I am not able to edit anything (posts/pages/widgets or menus) on the guttersolutionsnc side in the WP backend. It is basically a duplicate of what appears in the backend of the chimneysplusgutters side. The front end of both the sites have different content though and I see text-#s for the widgets/etc. so I know they were created at some point before but I have no way of figuring this out.

Is there a way to get the front end content to correspond with the correct blog_id in the backend?

    Thanks!

Ok I figured out the issue.

It was due to an option that was turned on within Domain Mapping MU plugin for multisites that allows you to connect different URLs to a multisite based on which blog ID is being called.

The option that caused this was under Domain Mapping -> Domain Options which states “Redirect administration pages to site’s original domain.”
