Multisite User Log-in

  • I am running Multisite and need to control user log-in, separately for each site;

    Users first join to Main-Site1 and can select to be a member of other site2 or 3 as follows;

    1) Site1 users: AAA, BBB, CCC
    2) Site2 users: BBB
    3) Site3 users: CCC

    As above, I want to allow log-in only to users registered in each site.
    Only User BBB can log in to Site2 and User CCC to Site3.
    However, I found all users can log in to each site. For example, user AAA can log in to Site 2 and 3.

    Something wrong at my side? Or guide me the way to allow login only to users registered in each site.

  • The standard way that mutlisites work is that all members are set as subscribers of all sites with only the “chosen ones” being set as contributors, editors or administrators on a site-by-site basis. So, your site is doing exactly what it’s meant to.

    With a (very) quick search I couldn’t find anything that would do what you’re asking for, but there could still be a solution out there, but it will need a bit of searching from you to find it.
