• Hi,
I have been noticing this issue since I started using it on Multitsite, whenever I try to edit user capability from wordpress multisite network dashboard by following

    /wp-admin/network/users.php
    /wp-admin/network/user-edit.php?user_id=user_id
    User Role Editor

Other Roles >> Edit (by clicking this)
    brings me to this page
    /wp-admin/network/users.php?page=user-role-editor.php&object=user&user_id=user_id

and says “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

I am “Super Admin” means there is no access issue.

I have tested it on several multisite installations, specially on my localserver but no luck ??

I even dig into code and was unable to trace the code so I could let you know the culprit :(.

Note: I can easily edit user capability on specific subsite dashboard or on mainsite but I cannot go and change user on all subsites (imagine having dozen of subsites :()

Please have a look and suggest a fix????

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for the information about this unplanned inclusion of “Other Roles” ->Edit link to the user profile at Network Admin dashboard. I excluded it from this page at version 3.11. You may download User Role Editor 3.11 beta from this link
    https://shinephp.com/wp-content/downloads/wordpress/plugins/user-role-editor-3.11b.zip

There is no feature to edit any user role or capability from Multisite Network dashboard in User Role Editor. WordPress does not have any central storage for roles at capabilities at multi-site. User rights are stored site by site. Thus we edit them with User Role Editor on the same base.

I will think how to resolve the problem of editing all permissions data from one place for multi-site. May be it will appear at one of the future versions :)…

    Hi,
Thanks for having a look and thinking about it. It will be a huge time savor if you could achieve this by allowing editing from single place (if needed).

Thanks for such a useful plugin.
