• I have a problem with a multisite setup – if you try to directly access the subdirectories by entering the site n the browser it somehow keeps redirecting to the main domain: vacuumtester.com/es –> to vacuumtester.com. If you enter it with https://www. however, it does work. This is for all subdirectories.

Also when you enter directly vacuumtester.com in browser it gives a 302 to the https://www.vacuumtester.com domain.

Note sure if this should be fixed within wp-config or the MySQL db or other settings, but help would be greatly appreciated.

  • hi @jwvantilburg,

In testing what you described, it wasn’t possible to reproduce so perhaps the browser is caching the results – it might be worth clearing the browsers’ cache to see if that fixes it for you?

Depending which browser you are using, the method might be different, but you would want to clear the DNS cache in this instance.

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for your reply. I got it already working – there were hardcoded urls in the database with www and a subsequent mismatch therefore in the wp-config file which lead to the redirect. Thanks a lot for your efforts though!
