When I try to subscribe to any of my RSS feeds, I get this error.

Can’t subscribe to feed because: the server returned an unexpected response code: 404 not found.

    Object not found!

The requested URL was not found on this server. The link on the referring page seems to be wrong or outdated. Please inform the author of that page about the error.

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.

    Error 404

I searched in the support archives, and found nothing that seemed to resolve the error.

    1) Turn off ALL your plugins.

    2) Make sure RSS feeds are actually on.

    3) Resave your permalinks.

If all that fails, can you share some URLs?

And your feed address should be yourdomain.com/feed/ Go visit that url directly. does it work?

Thank you both for showing me a path. … Upon further reading, and attempts to correct the problem, I came to the ultimate conclusion. …

I screwed up the update process.

In trying to fix the problem I went to modify the .htaccess file, only to discover that the .htaccess was non-existent.

    Ooops.

I put the .htaccess in its place, and all was as it should be.

Maybe there should be a check list for stupid mistakes.

1.) Is your machine plugged in?

That’ll do it. ?? Mostly we’re here for sanity checks.
