Multisite Redis broken

Hello.
As soon as we enable the database and object caching a multisite the setup becomes sluggish. Wanted to try and setup separate databases for each sub site but the options are greyed out even though “Use single network configuration file for all sites.” is disabled. Am I missing something or it is not possible to use separate database for each sub site?
