The Issue: Logged in Users are not redirected to their private pages after successful log in.

This is a WP sub-directory multisite

Summary: Users who successfully log in are directed to a page containing nothing but a title and the shortcode [client-portal]. I expected this to redirect them to their private pages. Instead, after successful login, users are redirected to the page with the [client-portal] shortcode but are not passed on to their private pages.

    Here what I did:

    1) Published a page on the network main site with only this shortcode: [client-portal]

    2. I added this shortcode to the login page (the url is from the page mentioned above): [wppb-login redirect_url=”https://lukeobritt-new.staging.wpmudev.host/locating-client-page”%5D

    3. Used Profile Builder to create a new user.

    4. I logged in with that user, and while the log in and initial redirect worked, the user is left on the page with the [client-portal] shortcode and not passed on to their private page.

I will continue to research, but any help you can offer would be appreciated.

New information: I had been working in the staging environment only. I pushed that to production and tested it again and I was indeed passed from the [client-portal] page, but instead of directing me to the correct private page, I was sent to wp-admin. Not sure what this means. I certainly hope you do. ??

Ignore this. This was a staging credential issue. Once I dealt with that, the behavior on the live site was identical to the staging site. After log in, user is not sent to his private page. I tried the Twenty-twenty theme, and that did not help. Am now
    beginning the plugin disabling adventure.

Resolved. But, in case someone else is about to do the “plugin shuffle”, the only reason the redirect was not forwarding was because I configured the plugin to use the post theme, but I was creating pages, not posts. As soon as I changed from the post theme to page theme, everything worked exactly as advertised. Now, I can’t say for sure that this will work for anyone else. It could be that the page/post theme issue was a problem unique to my theme.
