Multisite: Possible to Sync Orders Between Stores?

    I’m developing a series of 6 sites for my client via WordPress MultiSite and each brand will have its own catalog/store, even though they all belong to the same parent company.

    I’m curious about syncing between stores…
    1) Will the customers’ login info/account info by shared between all 6 sites or will they have to create a new login for each?
    2) Is it possible to link/sync orders between all sites? For example, if a customer orders from mainsite.com/AB but is looking at mainsite.com/CD, I’d like for their account section to still show their past orders from AB as well.

    1) In a WordPress Multisite environment, users are shared across the network. This means that if a customer registers on one site, they are effectively registering for all sites on the network. However, while the users are shared, their roles are not. So, a user might be a Customer on one site and have no role on the others. You would need a plugin like Multisite User Management or WordPress Multisite User Sync/Unsync to share user roles across all sites.

    2) As for syncing orders between all sites, unfortunately, WooCommerce does not support this feature out of the box. Each site in a WordPress Multisite network is separate regarding orders, products, etc. However, you could look into custom development or third-party plugins to achieve this. One such plugin I found via Google search is WooCommerce Multistore which allows you to manage orders, products, and even stock across multiple WooCommerce stores.

    Just a heads up – I found all the plugins I mentioned through a Google search, but I haven’t personally tried them out. So, please be careful when using them.
