Multisite or just clever menus?
-
Hi,
I was wondering what to do in the following situation:
I am building a new site say mysite.com
However, if it is successful I may want to add a further full section to the site so for it to work like:
mysite.com/section1
mysite.com/section2Then build a custom homepage to link to the new sections. Each section will not interrelate at all so they would have custom menus, custom tags, custom blog posts etc. However do I install multiple versions of wordpress from the off. One at:
mysite.com
mysite.com/option1Or do I build the first option on mysite.com and then migrate it to mysite.com/option1 if it is a success and I choose to include more sections within it?
If I migrate it, surely that will remove all the links points to the first section thus a decrease in SEO?
Sorry if this isn’t clear.
Alternatively I could use one version of wordpress and just build in custom menus etc. to keep the sections clear?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Sam
