MultiSite on shared hosting

  • I’ve read that MultiSite isn’t recommended for shared hosting. If so, can someone explain why?

    I have Baby Plan on HostGator which is shared hosting, so does it mean that I can’t use this kind of hosting for MultiSite?

    Depends on how big the Multisite is, really. If you only have a couple sites, you’re fine, but the more you have, the more memory/cpu you use, and the less happy shared hosting is ??
