multisite on add on domain?

  • I am trying to install a multisite on my shared hosting plan at host gator. My main domain is flwebnet.com. when I installed acaintergroup.org as an add on domain it was placed in the public folder as well. I have the wild card enabled but the multisite does not work. I installed it OK, but my subdomain, florida.acaintergroup.org does not come up on mysites.

    I have tried everything that I can think of. I could sure use some help.

    I have also faced the same issue with hostgator. I did two changes and my sub-domain started working

    1) Added a sub-domain: *.domain-name.com and document root will be where all the wordpress files are located

    2) Then went to “Advance DNS Zone Editor” and added A record.

    Name: *
    TTL: 14400
    Type: A
    Address: will be the same as of the main domain A record.
