    I’ve used this plugin for 3 years to import members of individual classes who are subsets of the members of the whole organization. That method failed me today. It shows the names being added, but then they don’t appear in the class list of members.

    I see that a different method for multisite is now implemented, which I have not yet tried. (My class rosters are made up of members already in the organization, but I presume it will still work.) My question is why not let the old method work also? It worked fine for 3 years!

    I just did a test of adding to an individual multipress site users who exist elsewhere in the multipress. They were successfully added but there was one problem: Your default of “Subscriber” role overrode the choice of Role I gave each person on the .csv file. I would defer to the CSV file and only use that default if you had no value to assign. Otherwise worked fine.

    @machank,

    If you choose to no update roles and the user is added to a blog, we use the lowest role (subscriber).

    Why are you not choosing to update roles?

    I get an error message regardless of which “update roles” choice I use: “yes override and update existing roles” or “yes add new roles and not override existing roles.” Remember these users have roles on another site within the multisite but are new to this particular site. Here’s the message:
    2 Some of the next roles “Author” does not exists error
    3 Some of the next roles “Editor” does not exists error
    4 Some of the next roles “Author” does not exists error

    I am getting that error message now for all combinations of parameters related to existing users and to roles. I had previously been at 1.17.1.1, but updated to 1.17.1.3 and still got the same errors. Peculiar because I was able to use this program last week under 1.17.1.1 except for having “Subscriber” substitute for the role I selected in the .csv file.

    My apologies!!!!! My problem, I believe, is that I had capitalized the first letter of username and email. Once I named those fields correctly and selected “update roles” it all worked perfectly!

    @machank,

    Yes sure, take care of names.

    Anyway I should include a “strtolower” to every role because role slugs are always in small letters.
