• I see that the Multisite Topic was closed. I just tried the plugin and it isn’t working for multi-site using subfolders. EVERY time I login I am directed to the main site’s home page, not to the site’s home page. If I have a user that has access to site B, when they log in I want them to go to site B’s home page, not the main site.

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Hi,

Thanks for trying out my plugin. I’m sorry it doesn’t work for you at the moment. I’ve quickly tried it on an older (WordPress 3.4.2) Multisite development installation which I have access to. It also uses sub-folders and I could not reproduce the issue you mention. The plugin should always go to the subsite url in a Multisite installation and NOT the main Multisite site.

These are the steps I’ve taken tot test this:

    1. Network activate plugin in the Network Admin -> Plugins interface
    2. Logout
    3. Visit the main site
    4. Type in your brower’s address bar: https://mysite.ext/wp-admin or https://mysite.ext/wp-login.php
    5. Login with your credentials
    6. You’re redirected to the main site (which I was visiting)

Now with a subsite (using the subfolder configuration)

    1. Visit a subfolder site called subsonic
    2. Type in your brower’s address bar: https://mysite.ext/subsonic/wp-admin or https://mysite.ext/subsonic/wp-login.php
    5. Login with your credentials
    6. You’re redirected to the subsonic site (which I was visiting)

Btw my user is has a superadmin role.

Can you tell me if you’ve performed the same actions? What version of WordPress are you using? Have you tried to disable all other plugins temporarily and use the default out-of-the box WordPress theme (Twenty-Eleven or newer) to see if any other plugin or the theme you’re using might cause this?

If you can provide me with the answers on the above question I might be able to help you solve this.

just a guess but perhaps the original poster’s expectations were that a user on a Multisite instance configured as a sub-directory network would be able to authenticate at the parent (aka main, aka default) site:

    https://www.parent-site.com

and then be redirected to the homepage of the *childsite* for which they are the administrator:

    https://www.parent-site.com/child-site/

that had been my (mistaken) presumption as well.

    Thanks Nopivnick.
I did not think about the possible use case you described. I might add this as an option if more people need this.
