Multisite not sending emails

    My website is not sending mails recently. I installed the Newsletter plugin and send over 3000 mails to subscribers. i believe the issue started after that. I have uninstalled the plugin but when i test mail with Wp Mail SMTP, i get the error message;

    There was a problem while sending the test email.

    Error due to unsolicited and/or bulk e-mail.

    This means the connection to your SMTP host was made successfully, but the host rejected the email.

    Typically this error is returned when you are sending too many e-mails or e-mails that have been identified as spam.

    Can you help me fix this please?

  • Hi Coach,

    It seems you are using “Other SMTP” mailer and SMTP host is either Gmail or Outlook (or similar email provider that have an inbox). Those providers do not like a ton of emails sent through them in a short period of time.

    When you want to send emails in bulk, as you did with 3000 subscribers, I strongly encourage you to start using specialized transactional services, like Mailgun or Sendgrid.
