    Hello all

I have a self-hosted Synology based LAMP web server with the default WP installation (v4.5.3). I have run through the steps to convert the single instance WP installation into a multisite. I am currently running four individual domains with domain mapping. There are no issues with the setup, maintenance, updates to plugins, etc to those sites.

Just recently I am attempting to make a new (5th) site by pressing add new to my sites in my super admin console. The site is created perfectly and yet when I say visit site I get a 403, but I get a 404 when I goto subdomain.domain.net/wp-admin.

    Thoughts?

Well I am a noob. I went to my virtual web host on my synology and realized I had to still point the subdomain URL to the web/wordpress home directory. The moment I pointed my virtual host, the site instantly worked.

    doh.

    Issue resolved.

I’m getting a 403 forbidden error when I go to access the new site. When I look in ftp there’s very little in the applicable folder. I did set up a subdomain for the site at https://testsite.goodthingsbetter.com/ but it doesn’t redirect anywhere else. Should it? Is this what you mean by pointing? I’m on shared hosting so I’m doing everything through cpanel.
