• I’m trying to set up a WordPress MultiSite subdomain installation. Everything seems to be working with it, except signups in Internet Explorer. When someone hits wp-signup.php in IE, the page shows a 404 error. The site works fine in every other browser we’ve tested in.

If anyone’s got any idea what might be wrong, it’d be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Which version of IE and what theme are you using?

Using the default Twenty Eleven theme and viewing on IE 9. Everything’s just an out-of-the-box install at this point.

Are they getting the 404 formatted to look like WordPress or is it a generic one?

They’re getting a generic 404. And for what it’s worth, on the same page (the one that says that the confirmation links is being sent), Firefox reads “Page Not Found” in the title bar, even though it still shows the appropriate info on the page.

Are you using WP SuperCache by chance?

No, it’s just a very basic install of 3.4.1 that I immediately moved to the MultiSite install. No plugins installed at all.

    Did you update your htaccess?

Yep, followed all the steps in the install. It works fine in non-IE browsers; Firefox, Chrome, and Opera all worked fine. It’s just IE that’s having problems.
