Multisite image selector does not honor https

    seems to suggest that this issue is fixed, and it does seem so for non-multisite installs.

    But one of my installs is multisite, and it failed SSL (mixed content).
    I re-selected the images (background image), and it shows the URL as https:// and not https as it should.

    I then added the code mentioned in the ticket above,
    function ssl_post_thumbnail_urls( $url, $post_id )…
    to my child-theme, and then the image selector shows the correct URL.
